With a combined passion for both poetry and photography, I span the visual and written worlds. My tools are light, image, symbol and text.
I have a Master of Arts in Photography from Academy of Art University, and a Bachelors degree in Creative Writing from Concordia University in Montreal, Canada. I began teaching Poetry at the New School of Dawson College in Montreal. I currently teach photography and poetry classes through the Cabrillo College Extension Program in Santa Cruz, CA and hold regular writing circle workshops throughout the year. In addition, I host a bi-weekly spoken word open mic in Santa Cruz, providing a forum and community for local poets. I am proud to have served on the Board of Directors of the American Society of Media Photographers (ASMP) Northern California chapter for over two years.
Prior to dedicating myself to maginei, I spent a successful career in the enterprise software industry where I focused on web and product marketing. My years in the corporate world provided the foundation for launching my own successful small business.
